Haley at her piano recital. She played Part of Your World from Aladdin and dressed up as Princess Jamine.

This is what Dallin did during the recital. A few more minutes and I'm sure he would have been asleep!

We went to a train museum while Mom and Dad were here. The kids and Grandpa had a great time!

Halloween- Princess Jasmine and a vampire.

We had a little snow left when Mom and Dad came to visit so we took the kids sledding at a nearby park.

Haley's class Halloween party and class parade.

Dallin had to get ready at 6:30 am to go to Haley's party too- wasn't about to be left out!

Corn maze pics!

Paul took Dallin duck hunting.

Like father like son!

Haley's 1st day of 2nd grade- in front of the school with 2 of her friends.

Dallin really wasn't in a good mood!

Haley's open house night at school.
Dallin and Haley have razor scooters and if they don't beat Dad outside then he gets to ride them first! But, after a close call with the sidewalk and a burn on his foot from not wearing shoes, he may think twice next time!

Dallin on a neighbor's skateboard wishing it was his- Dad says they are too dangerous- and after seeing him on his bike I agree!

Haley got rollerblades for her birthday.

Haley turned 7!

Haley wanted to go swimming for her birthday. Luckily it landed on a Saturday this year so Paul could come too!

Haley had a friend party in the backyard. She wanted to swim in the little blow up pools and have water balloons. It was a fun day!

We went to the monster truck show at the fair. Dallin thought it was the coolest thing ever!

At the wildlife sanctuary- we got to see the bears and tigers being fed!

We went to WY to ride the killpecker dunes. On the way home we stopped at the Green River and Paul bridge jumped and the kids and Kopi swam.

We found a great new beach to swim at- Lake Loveland!

Dallin would prefer to just play in the sand all day!

Dallin learned how to ride his bike this summer!

4th of July in UT

Thanks to Grandpa who bought all the fireworks!

Haley loved to light them by herself this year...growing up!

Playing at Grandma Young's house!

The kids got to ride in a fire truck in Mt Pleasant. They still talk about it!

Little Sahara Sand dunes.

BYU

This is Dallin with the neighbor girl- they go chat on the fence all the time. It is so cute!

These next pictures are from our trip to Reno this summer. It was a great trip!

Running through the sprinklers in Grandma's back yard.

Dallin and Brian were best buds!

On a little hike

The boys rock.

Haley adores little Lauren!

Lazy morning

It rained a lot while we were there- but we managed to get the park in too!

We went to Rock Sport- Haley is a natural- she loved it!

We went for a bike ride on the Biz Johnson trail- showed me how out of shape I am! Beautiful ride though!

Paul went to SC for a business trip- looks like he is working really hard too!

A dirty family after riding on a dusty trail!

Walden- one of our favorites this summer!

We found a cool old cabin on one of our rides.

Paul was shooting so it was a little loud.

This was just a quick day trip to Walden to meet Heather.

Paul learning to do a wheelie

Dallin has been watching his Dad work on the 4 wheelers so he decided he needed to work on his bike too!

Haley's last day of Kindergarten with her teacher.

Memorial Day- our first camping trip of the summer!

I think we need to start taking family pictures on the first day of camping when we aren't so dirty!

Monday, May 18, 2009

We went to the races to celebrate finishing the first part of the concrete- it was loud, freezing and tons of fun! We have been working on our backyard for about a month. Here are all the pictures. I forgot to load them in reverse order so you'll have to start at the bottom and work your way back up to get the full effect. It was a lot of work- by far the biggest project we have tackled! We are still working on the garden and sandbox- but the biggest project is done for the summer.

Finished product- 21 yards of concrete.

Finished with pour #1!

Forming the first part of the patio.

Hauling in fill or Paul just using his favorite toy.

Changing the sprinkler system so that we can add it to the garden.

Dallin thinking that life can't get better!

We cut some sod out and then started on the stairs.

Haley lost her other front tooth- finally. It was so gross. She wouldn't pull it out, but it was so loose and had totally shifted over to the middle of her mouth so that it looked like she had one big snaggle tooth.

I don't know why, but Dallin REALLY wanted a lantern for his birthday- Haley found this one for him!

Dallin was super spoiled for his birthday- thanks everyone! All he wanted to do was go to the movies, eat goose for dinner and open presents. He was so excited to open his presents that we let him as soon as he ate some breakfast. We went to Monsters vs Aliens in 3D. It was funny to watch him- he kept trying to grab things. He had a blast!

He needed a bigger dump truck!

Dallin has an ingrown toenail (he decided to cut his own toe nails a few weeks ago and got them WAY to short) so now we soak his toe and do his asthma treatments at the same time. Paul said he looks like an old man.

Haley went to a "girls night" and had her fingernails painted and put on make up. She was so excited to wear mascara!

It snowed a ton over spring break so we went sledding one day (forgot the camera) and Paul also pulled them around our neighborhood with the 4 wheeler. They thought that was pretty cool! We'll need a new sled for next year since they wore a hole in this one!

We had plans to work on our patio over springbreak. As soon as we made those plans we knew we were in for some snow! This is the most it has snowed all year! It made for a fun spring break though!

Friday, March 06, 2009

We went to a monster truck show and were totally hillbillies! Dallin thought it was the coolest thing in the world!

Just letting out a little energy before the show starts.

Haley lost her first top tooth. Now Dallin tells me everyday that his tooth is loose too.

We made it a family affair to go goose hunting with Paul one saturday morning. It was a nice day to get out!

Thursday, January 01, 2009

It has been so warm here so we went to the zoo. Crazy that we can do that in December! It was so nice though- hardly anybody there and lots of animals out!

Haley learned how to make hot pads- you all know what you will all be getting next year for Christmas!

Paul turned 31!

Christmas day- playing with new toys! It was a great day. We just played all day long!

We make the kids sit on the stairs every year to get a picture before they can go see what Santa brought them- they hate it, but atleast they humor me!

Tuesday, December 23, 2008

Santa came to the ward Christmas breakfast- this is Dallin waiting in line!

Haley's class had a "festival" for their Christmas party. They wrote books about a holiday tradition and read it to all of the parents. It was so cute!

Haley had a Brownies award night and her part in the program was to give the "Brownie sign" through out this story the leader read. It was so funny!

Haley and Dallin at a friends Christmas tea party. Even Dallin had a good time.

One day Dallin will smile normal again...

Sunday, December 07, 2008

We went sledding at the park by our house. We need a little more snow next time- but the kids had a blast and I only hurt for a few days...

Haley doing snow angels in a skirt- first snow of the year is always so exciting!

Paul took Dallin duck hunting and now Dallin is addicted too.

Just out shooting after Thanksgiving. It was cold!

Thanksgiving dinner

This is how Dallin fell asleep on the couch. He has become so attached to his elephant.

My new hair cut.

Haley is in girl scouts and loves getting together with her friends for activities. I like not being in charge!

Haley has been saving her money from her birthday and Halloween and she finally decided she wanted a tea set. We had to search because she wanted a "real" one (not a plastic one). It is actually quite cute. Dallin and her have played with in non stop for 3 days.

Dallin still doesn't like to touch the guts. I think we have this same picture from last year posted.

Not Haley though...

Haley at her first piano recital. She played "The Black Cat" and did great!

Paul trying out a new style for a bet at work... it didn't last long!

I took the kids to Elitch Gardens (like 6 flags). They had a blast!

Dallin had a field trip to a pumpkin patch. It was freezing, but they were good sports! Haley didn't have school that day (a benefit of being at 2 different schools in 2 different school districts) so she got to go too.

Dallin loved picking the rasberries!

They took us on a hay ride through some rows of corn on the way out to the pumpkins and Dallin loved getting hit by the leaves.

Haley had a field trip to a farm too and they got to pick all sorts of vegetables.

Thursday, October 02, 2008

We all went dove hunting with Paul one night. The kids had a blast.

This is at Estes Park. We went to hear the elk bugle. It was pretty cool!

Dallin is having a rough time with his asthma. We have to do breathing treatments at home with his dinosaur mask that he hates. Better than having to go to the doctor or hospital though!

Tuesday, August 19, 2008

These pictures are really out of order so I hope you don't get too confused!

Haley's first day of school pics...

Dallin fell down riding his scooter. We are lucky he didn't knock his two front teeth out or have a broken nose.

Haley had to make a treasure box for school. Thank goodness for Grandma and her wealth of ideas!

I had to take her glitter name off since we couldn't seem to let it dry without smearing it. So this is the finished product. (This is only being posted since Grandma and Liz requested to see it!) She is so proud of it. I had to help her spray paint it and cut the black paper, but she did the rest by herself!

She wouldn't stop posing until I took a picture.

While Liz and her family were here we went for a quick drive up the canyon. It rained for 2 days straight so we didn't get to spend much time outdoors. We found a great new spot for a hike though!

Burr!

Haley loves that her Grandma and Grandpa were able to come and help celebrate her birthday!

She got what she wanted- a 2 wheel scooter. It didn't have sparkly wheels like she wanted, but I think she forgot about that request!

Almost done. Just needs shingles, some trim and a sand box around it.

Haley wanted a waterballoon party with her friends for her birthday.

We rode the kiddy train for her birthday.

Thursday, June 12, 2008

Here are some pictures of Haley and Dallin playing baseball (well, Dallin is really doing anything he can find except playing baseball). I had to wake him up from a nap to go play and he really wasn't happy about it.

So after having 2 dogs in the backyard it was a little thrashed. We banished the dogs from the yard, and after a lot of hard work and a lot of seed, it is looking better. We couldn't mow it for a few weeks while the seed was coming in and in the mean time the grass that was still there got a little out of control.

Yep, we put our kids in the window well and made them pull weeds. They thought it was the coolest thing ever!

Thanks Mom for the cookbook- the kids love it! We made flowers today.

We went camping last weekend and had a blast. It is still kind of chilly, but really not too bad. It was great to get out again and enjoy the mountains. It is even more fun now with 4 wheelers.

This is Callan and Haley- aka trouble. They pass love notes already. I'm not ready for this.

Dallin would go for a ride whenever he could talk someone into taking him.

Nothing like ice cream when you are camping. Especially on some pumpkin dutch oven cake. Yum!

Haley's last day of school!

Grandma sent Haley a cook book of fun things to make for each letter of the alphabet. I told her we would make something everyday once school got out. We'll she woke me up at 6:30 this morning telling me she doesn't have school today so it's time to cook from Grandma's book.

Monday, June 02, 2008

Haley had Kindergarten Celebration (graduation) today. She has been so excited for it! They were so cute- they sang to us and memorized a poem too. She is growing up too fast! She is looking foward to 1st grade but is a little nervous about missing her family since she will be in school ALL day. She'll do great.

Friday, May 30, 2008

These first few pictures are just of Dallin hanging out before field days started.

Dallin had to get in on the fun at field day. They are so nice to always include the sibblings!

Dallin fell down and hurt his thumb, here he is holding it up, but still trying to play too.

Haley had spirit week at school. She wanted to be Hannah Montana. (I don't even let her watch that show so it amazes me she knows so much about it). She ended up looking more like an 80's punk rockers. Flash backs...

Haley getting wet at field days. She had a lot of fun and can't wait to do it again in 1st grade.

Thanks Liz and Bryan for the camping ice cream maker. It works great!

Haley finally got the hang of riding a 2 wheeler. It was her goal to ride her bike to school before school got out and she did it!

Monday, May 19, 2008

We went out 4 Wheeling this weekend. It was so nice to get back into the mountains! The kids had a blast riding the 4 wheelers, roasting hot dogs and marshmallows and of coarse playing in the dirt. It made them all excited to go camping.

On day I was on the computer working on activity days when Dallin comes out of his room and says, "Look mom, I sugared my bum!" It did make me laugh until I went in his room to find baby powder all over his room. That was fun to clean out of all of his toys. I don't even know where he found the baby powder since we haven't had diapers for almost a year.

Paul bought me a fan for Mother's day and here he is installing it. I'm glad I married a handy man!

Haley had a "fun run" at school. She had a blast and did fantastic- she loves to run!

Haley had a tap dance recital. I tried to get the video on here, but it is too big (it is only about a minute and a half) . I'll see if I can figure out how to make a clip of it- it will make you laugh. Too cute.

When we went 4 wheeling this weekend Paul forgot the key. Here he is with the guys trying to hot wire it. It worked and all of us ladies were supprised they knew how to do that- made us all question their pasts...

Monday, May 12, 2008

We finally got our concrete poured. It looks great! It was a lot of work, but now we want to put a pad in our backyard too so we can play basketball back there. We'll see if it happens this summer. Last summer we played a lot, but at the rate we are going, I see us working all summer this year. It needs to warm up before we can go camping anyway. It was just been too cold. It is supposed to snow again tomorrow... Our next project is the deck which we are hoping to start this weekend.

The kids were excited to put their hand prints in the concrete!

Haley is trying to learn how to ride a bike without training wheels. After this episode, we decided we needed to go and get elbow, knee and hand pads. We'll see how the next attempt goes...
Dallin insisited on wearing Haley's goggles. He is just starting swim lessons and will barely even put his head in, but I guess it is time for goggles.

"Arr, Pirate!"
Dallin turning 3!

Easter Egg hunt out at Utah lake

These two together on a 4 wheeler is a BAD idea! It is a good thing it wouldn't stay running for very long or we may have had to make a trip to the ER!

Our favorite Easter tradition... find a nice dry dusty hill and roll (more like throw) our colored easter down it and watch them explode.

Our Easter saturday was filled with 4 wheeling and shooting and lots of family. It was great!

The whole gang!
